BOOKING INFO

Please read carefully. The information below is to inform you on my booking process and to help answer some questions you might have. Also refer to the FAQ section to eliminate the need for unnecessary emails.

How to start the booking process?

First go to my website seanpeterstattoo.com and submit your idea in the “TATTOO REQUEST” link on my page. Please provide a maximum of 4-5 sentences when describing your concepts, body placement, and size.

What happens next?

Wait for a response. I handle all my own booking and administration work therefore it may take a while to receive a response. I appreciate your patience and look forward to working with you.

How to increase chances of solidifying a tattoo appointment?

When accepting projects, I usually look for the ones that allow me artist freedom to do what i feel is best, please refer to my portfolio to see what kind of creativity will be put into your design. Most projects I take on are larger in scale however I do take on smaller projects, and some cover up work (must review the image I’ll be covering and what you would to cover with). I seek concepts that fall under the dark art/organic bio realm, illustrative and neo traditional, I work in color and black and grey. Lastly, I’m looking for clients that are dedicated enough to put forth the time and financial investment that is necessary to receive the best possible tattoo.

Booking fee and pricing Information

If your project has been accepted a booking fee is required to solidify appointment dates to begin the tattoo process. Please note* The booking fee is not a deposit. The booking fee is payment for the time it takes to research and design your concept. It’s non-refundable and is NOT deducted from the cost of the tattoo itself. For each new project a booking fee will be required.

Tattoo pricing is broken up into flat rates. Most projects I take on require half days or multiple sessions. I use this method to help clients prepare and know what to expect for payments during our appointments. CASH & CARD are the only forms of payment accepted. Cash is preferred but I do accept Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Apple Pay.

  • Rates

  • BOOKING FEE - $100 (not a deposit)

  • $150 AN HOUR

  • HALF DAY (4 hours) -$600

  • FULL DAY (6 hours) - $900

  • An Hourly charge of $200 will begin for any work done after 6 hours. Otherwise all sessions end after 6 hours.

***The examples show possible coverage but don’t guarantee it. Every design is different, and many factors can affect the project’s length.

Appointment/Consultation details

Not all chosen projects will require an in-person consult. If a consult is needed, I will let you know and we can set up a date and time to meet at the studio or a zoom or facetime call. An invoice for the Booking Fee will be sent and must be paid within 24 hours.

Once the Booking Fee has been paid appointment dates will be set. Multiple sessions may be booked as long as its under the same project. Appointment wait times from the day of paid booking fee can be anywhere from 1 month to 2 months.

  • I work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 12PM-7PM. Appointment request outside of these days/hours will require additional payment.

Reschedule/Cancel appointment

A minimum 48-hour notice must be given to reschedule your appointment. You may reschedule your appointment 1 time before your Booking Fee is forfeited and another is required. Any appointment canceled after the 3-day grace period from which you Booking Fee was paid will result in a loss of Booking fee.

Designs

All designs are presented the day of the appointment. Minor alterations may be done but any major alterations could result in an immediate drop of the project or rescheduling to allow redrawing the design. Some designs may require additional time to draw directly on the body with markers the day of the appointment.

Day of the appointment

Please arrive on time to your appointment. Once the design is approved the stencil or marker drawing will be applied and we will begin. I tattoo for two 3-hour intervals taking a 20 min lunch break halfway through the session. Bathroom and stretching breaks are taken as needed. feel free to bring snacks. refreshments, pillows or blankets, anything needed for comfort.

FAQ

What is the best method to contact you?

For all booking inquires please use my “Tattoo Request” page on seanpeterstattoo.com If it is not in regard to a tattoo appointment, please use the following email: sptattoo517@gmail.com If you reach out to me about booking an appointment by another means I will just provide you with a link to my website.

Do you accept any tattoo concept?

No, unfortunately I do not have the time to take on every project request. Some ideas and designs may not align with my interests or are something i may not be comfortable taking on.

How do you choose the concepts you want to tattoo?

I choose the concepts that allow me artist freedom based on my portfolio, showcasing the same passion and creativity will be given to your tattoo.

When do you open your books and take on new projects?

I am usually always taking new projects. I tend to be booked about a month or two ahead of time so take that into consideration

Should I send a second email if I don’t get a response?

Please don’t send another request for the same tattoo. This will only create confusion for my booking process. you can submit another if a month or two have passed.

Can I see my design before my appointment?

You can only see your design beforehand if you’re traveling from out of state. Otherwise, your design will be presented to you the day of the appointment. Any minor changes to the design can be made that day but major changes to the design could result in an immediate drop of the project all together or the need to reschedule to allow time to redraw. In certain cases the design will be just a rough sketch and the day of the appointment we will freehand the design on with markers. Depending on the size and complexity of the design this process can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours to complete before any tattooing starts.

Can I bring someone to my appointment?

Currently I’m asking that you show up to your appointment alone, since my station is a private area and sitting through a tattoo session can be boring and long. However you may bring along someone if needed.

How long will my session be?

This depends on various factors including, design, pain tolerance, and budget.

A half day is 4 hours, and a full day is 6 hours. I work in 2-hour intervals and take a 20 min lunch break halfway through the session. After the 6th hour the session is over. If you would like to pay for additional time an hourly rate will be applied.

What can I do to prepare for my appointment?

Please read over all information provided on my website. This will keep you informed on what to expect. Otherwise, get a good night’s rest and eat something before coming in. You are allowed to bring something to drink and snack on while you get tattooed. Keeping your blood sugar levels up will help you get through longer sessions. We will have music playing throughout the studio but you’re welcome to bring your own source of distraction. Devices for movies, shows or music is encouraged however please make sure to bring headphones so it’s not a distraction for the artist working. It’s also good to drink plenty of water before, during, and after your tattoo session.

What if I’m feeling sick on the day of my appointment?

Please refrain from coming to your appointment when you are feeling sick. We will be working in close quarters and its almost a guarantee that if contagious I will catch whatever it is you have. I don’t get sick leave working as an artist so missing out on work for being sick is frustrating. We can reschedule your appointment for a later date. Your mental and body strength will hold up much better when you’re feeling 100%.

What if I’m running late to my appointment?

Please let me know by text or email if you’re running late to your appointment. Anything over 30 mins can result in a rescheduling. If you no call no show, you will lose your appointment and any chance at future appointments.

Do you do cover-ups?

I will take on certain cover-ups. I prefer to have more artistic freedom for cover-ups due to the complex nature of this process. A minimum 2 sessions is required for cover-ups. This is to ensure that the old tattoo will be non-visible or highly disgusted by the multi-layered new design.

What if I’m traveling from out of state?

I highly recommend purchasing travel insurance just in the rare case that we have to reschedule. This almost never happens but in the off chance that is does its best to be covered.
